Ukrainian IN agency Pulse created AVATARized web-site for McDonalds

On the 4th of December 2009 a web-site created by Pulse marketing agency for the promo-campaign "Conquer Pandora" for McDonalds was launched.

On the eve of the Avatar movie premier, McDonalds is conducting an exciting promotion, which gives everybody the possibility not only to dip into the mysterious world of the planet Pandora, but also to win interesting prizes: laptops and software from Microsoft, T-shirts with the Avatar logo and fruit pies from McDonalds.

The promo web-site includes three game modules: Pandora Quest, Pandora Rover and Avatarization.

The first two modules give to visitors the possibility to take a walk through the exotic world, visit incredible sites on the planet and meet unexplored life forms. In the third module visitors can upload their own photos and turn themselves into Na'vi nation representatives.

The web-site has already been visited by almost 100 000 people since launch, and every day the figure is increasing!

Pulse also produced scratch-cards, instant presents and uniforms for promoters.

Spanish IN agency Arista creates the "I'm leaving home" website for Wilkinson

"I'm leaving home" www.mevoydecasaya.es is a website created by Arista for Wilkinson as part of the Xtreme 3 promotion, which gives participants the chance to win a prize of €700 per month for one year to pay their rent, mortgage or any other expenses.

It is an original and fun page, which explains this initiative in detail. The dynamics are very simple; anyone interested in winning the prize must buy an Xtreme 3 product and enter their details in the form on the website before December 31st. Participants will enter the draw to win €700 per month for one year, as well as four fantastic mini laptops.

The campaign is present in several media and supports: Internet, social networks, newspapers, radio, points of sale, samplings, etc; and although it is open to anyone who wants to take part, it is particularly targeted at teenagers and university students, who want to leave home and access their own home, a huge challenge in times of economic crisis.

One year of success for American Express with Icelandic IN agency Hvita Husid

American Express Amex

American Express International in New York has awarded American Express Iceland for outstanding achievement in launching the American Express Card in Iceland.

It has only been a year since the American Express Card was introduced in Iceland and it has already proven a great success.

Hvita husid has worked on the account from the beginning.

Several other IN agencies are also working for American Express, especially in Latin America and in some European countries.

Slovenia IN agency PAN wished a Merry Christmas to Beiersdorf, City Hotel and Nivea

This year, PAN Agency realized various Christmas Communications for some of its clients:

1. Eucerin Xmass card 2010:
For their client Beiersdorf Slovenia, PAN Agency prepared a Xmas e-card for the brand Eucerin, being used for their internal communication.

2. Cityhotel ATL communication:
In order to inform Slovene consumers about a splendid holiday offer for lunches right in the centre of Ljubljana, print advertisements were created, emphasizing the long tradition of various gourmet's dishes in the Cityhotel.

Immedia Communication Group carried out LG Mobile Worldcup in Russia

The cooperation between 2 IN agencies (already mentioned in a previous eNewsletter in September) for the SMS Speed Typing Cup LG MOBILE WORLDCUP 2009, organized by Immedia Communication Group and Korean master agency of LG Electronics - Eastos Marketing Communications Group - came to its end.

Communication strategy as well as production of the project in Russia were developed and implemented by Immedia Communication Group in line with Eastos Marketing Communications Group. Integrated promo campaign of LG MOBILE WORLDCUP was based on smart media-mix and included info-partnership with print, radio and internet media, promo-activities in retail, activities in social networks, as well as 2 press-event marking Launch and Final of the Cup.

Covering all target audience of the Project, the promo campaign attracted more than 65 000 participants. 31 specially equipped mobile posts with LG mobiles and Beeline internet access were established in Moscow target locations – Euroset shops and European trade-mall, where everyone could compete in speed and literacy of SMS typing.

2 winners were named on October 18 - they represented Russia at the World Final of LG MOBILE WORLDCUP 2009 in November in the United States.

Clarity Coverdale Fury Red Gold Work Wins Gold For Outstanding "Outdoor Spectacular"

Clarity Coverdale Fury, IN Minnesota agency has received an advertising gold award in the 2010 publication of Graphis Ad Annual. They are honored with this distinction for the "Vines Spectacular" billboard that debuted as part of their campaign for Red Gold Tomatoes.

The winning campaign kicked off with a "teaser" and featured a giant Jack and the Beanstalk-type tomato vine growing up the pole of a billboard in Columbus, Ohio and engulfing the large outdoor sign. This spectacular creation also frames the campaign's message in the center of the sign: "The best tomatoes come from tomato country," where Red Gold tomatoes are grown.

First published in 1944, Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication, has become an invaluable source for displaying the best creative work produced around the world. In 2009, they decided to introduce "a long overdue awards program" in order to recognize superior artists and their work. The Graphis Ad Annual is an internationally distributed journal and is widely regarded as a premier publication for showcasing "the most significant and influential work in Design, Advertising and Photography past and present." Only the most exceptional work submitted is chosen to be included in the annual publication.

IN Istanbul BTL agency EKOM won 2 Awards for their Coca-Cola and Nestlé in-store animations

The most prestigious awards for Direct Marketing, DPID, were recently given in during an award ceremony. With its successful performances, Ekom received two awards in the Marketing at Sales Points category. The agency was in first place in the In Store Activities subcategory and second in the Application of Merchandising subcategory.

Ekom introduced Cappy, a lemon flavoured drink, a brand of their client Coca Cola with the In Store Activities subcategory. Introduction was made with catchphrase "Famous Lemon in the Markets", which was accompanied by a huge Lemon Man, allowing to hit high sales figures.

Their second award winning performance was launched by catchphrase "Red In Everywhere", in which the goal was to stock all shops with Nestle products, and which turned out to be a great success as well.

Hong Kong IN agency Hydrogen refreshes French International Audit firm Mazars

Hydrogen Hong Kong work with global audit and accounting firm Mazars, handling PR and awareness building for Hong Kong and China.

Among recent projects was a small "thank-you gift" for Mazars staff to pass to clients, contacts and the media. A set of four teas, English Tea, French Lavender Tea, American Ginseng Tea and Chinese Tea were packaged together, highlighting the similarities between the qualities and variety of tea - and Mazars!

IN Paraguay Agency CEO is also a talented illustrator

Roberto Goiriz is not only an advertising agency CEO. He is also a great comic strip illustrator. With the sponsorship of the National Bicentennial Commission, "1811", a comic album in commemoration of the independence of Paraguay was launched on Monday December 14th at the Cultural Center of Paraguay Republic "El Cabildo".

The story was written by Robin Wood (with advice from historian George Rubiani) and Roberto Goiriz made the drawings (colored by Edgar Arce).

At launch, the attendees were given away a copy of the first chapter, with presentations by Don Fernando Lugo Méndez, President of the Republic of Paraguay and by Dr. Miguel Carrizosa, president of the National Congress.

"1811" recreates the events connected with the independence of Paraguay and describes how they are related to events in Europe (Napoleon's invasion of Spain, the abdication of King Ferdinand) with the events in America. It also relates the previous battles with the factual reality of independence against the Argentines in Buenos Aires, who wanted to annex the Paraguay after declaring their independence from Spain.

Previous books from Roberto Goiriz were international successes. No doubt that "1811" impressive historical fresco will also be.
